The annual Throughput Reports are being mailed out to all permitted facilities the first week of January.  These reports must be completed and returned to the District by March 31, 2012.

Electric Truck Incentive Replacement Program
Funding is available to help offset the cost of medium and heavy-duty all electric trucks. These funds may be combined with ARB's HVIP funds to help offset the incremental cost of the vehicle and even possibly cover the entire incremental cost. The funds are now available statewide on a first-come, first served basis. Program ends December 31, 2011. For more info

ARB Loan Assistance Program

The ARB has partnered with the California Capital Access Program (CalCAP) to provide assistance to fleets needing to finance replacement of off-road vehicles or portable diesel equipment, engine repowers, or purchase and install ARB-verified exhaust retrofits in order to comply early with the In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation or the Portable Diesel-Fueled Engines Airborne Toxic Control Measure.  Such vehicles and portable diesel equipment are used in construction, agriculture, mining, and industrial operations.

Free Children's Book on Air Quality for K-2 grade

Why is Coco Orange?  This book will help educate children about air quality and health

and introduces the Air Quality Index (AQI) colors to students in grades K-2. It teaches children how to recognize health symptoms and what actions to take when the air quality is unhealthy.

 

The children's book can be downloaded at www.airnow.gov/picturebook.

Rebates For Electric AG UTVs

Applications are now being accepted by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for rebates for new, electric utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) for agricultural use state-wide. Individuals, businesses, public agencies and entities, and nonprofit organizations involved in California agricultural operations are eligible for the rebate. There is no limit on the number of vehicles purchased per applicant.

 

For more information about eligibility, vehicles and rebate amounts, or to obtain a rebate application, visit the District's website at www.valleyair.org or call 559-230-5800. Applications may be submitted online or through the mail.
